About the Role
This is an unpaid internship; however, college credit is offered.

We are looking for two (2) energetic, self-motivated, eager-to-learn interns to join The Brown-Smith Agency. If you have a passion for Digital with a can-do attitude, join us!
We want our interns to have as rich of an experience as possible. Toward this end, we ask every intern to develop a set of strategic learning objectives at the beginning of their internship with their manager, outlining their key learning and professional development needs. Our staff will work with you to ensure assignments are relevant to these learning objectives, to any practicum or school-related objectives, and that you continue to grow throughout your internship.
If you are a student and would like to earn course credit from your internship, we are willing to work with you to develop a rigorous workload that is relevant to your field of study and professional interests.
Interns are required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Intern Responsibilities
Digital Community Management Online media monitoring of client’s owned social platforms and/or competitor platforms and other digital channels (e.g. forums, blogs etc.)
Digital Data Analytics and Reporting Assist in the analyzing and reporting on performance of social and digital content, including the identification of key takeaways and imperatives, as well as actionable recommendations based on insights gathered from data.
Social and Digital Content Planning and Creation Provide support in the strategizing and execution of online storytelling across both digital and social media platforms (e.g. brainstorming content ideas, prepare content calendar, copywriting etc.), including briefings and liaison with creative team on new content briefs or feedback from client.
Research for Client Industry Information/New Business Pitches Assist consultants with research requests across all business units, including digital and social media audits of client’s (and competitors) existing online assets.
Social and Digital Listening Assist in analyzing and reporting on online mentions, including the identification of key takeaways (e.g., influential authors, notable conversation topics for content ideation/trend jacking opportunities, etc.) and actionable recommendations.

Requirements
Current undergraduate student or recent graduate;
Experience in graphic design or creating infographics;
Creative, artistic, and knowledgeable about trending styles;
Interest, education, or experience in social media, communications, and/or marketing;
Interest, education, or experience working with trending social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.);
Interest in the entertainment industry, medical field, or health & beauty is a plus
Excellent written and oral English communication skills and the ability to draft, edit and proofread; and,
Excellent computer skills (including Word, Excel, various Web 2.0 tools, Google Drive).
Experience using Canva
Experience with social media scheduling software is a plus but not required
Experience using Wix, WordPress or other website based tools is a plus.
